He writes a letter to Santa Claus, via HuffPo, over........Global Warming

No, seriously

Fess up, which one of you voted for this guy?

"Dear Santa Claus,

I am writing out of concern, because you may have to move from the North Pole due to the dramatic melting of Arctic sea ice. The Navy’s chief oceanographer says that by the summer of 2020 the North Pole may not have summer ice and other scientists project that an ice-free Arctic is possible as soon as 2012!

Scientists overwhelmingly agree that polar ice is melting because of greenhouse gas pollution and I am working hard to reduce these emissions. But there is probably nothing we can do in time to save the North Pole. I am worried about your safety and your ability to deliver billions of Christmas gifts if the ice cap on the North Pole no longer stays frozen all year. What will happen to your house, your workshop, the elves’ houses and your reindeer barns?........

I just love all this tree hugging stuff.

There is one major fact that everyone forgets - if the USA is the only country concerned about the environment, it makes no difference at all....

global warming is a joke. just a way for politicians to enrich themselves, scientists to get grants they dont deserve and poor countries to get money from wealthy countries. there is no legitimacy to it whatsoever.

I believe in global warming, but writing a letter to Santa? Does he really have that much time on his hands?

Lots of countries are concerned about the environment, many far more than the U.S. But the point is, China and India need to do their part, albeit they are developing nations so they are going to go through growing pains too, but they should be able to learn from our mistakes and use newer technology as it becomes available.

Global warming or not, there are many reasons for us to care about the environment we all live in.

But yeah, I didn't read the letter. I don't know, maybe it was just good-natured humor with a point? I honestly don't care that much though.

i think we should all do our part and cut down all the trees because they emit more co2 than humans do.

Maybe he should DO HIS JOB and ask Santa for 2 billion to replace the Pulaski skyway and the 15 billion for the rail tunnel. What a jerk.
