What's far more important here is solving the mystery of why the OP ended her title with an adverb.

I think the ")" was meant to be an adjective.

So the title should read:

"Bergen C. has blue laws.... what a blessing and surprisingly winky."

Makes perfect sense now, doesn't it?

I think the other real mystery is why anyone who doesn't live in Bergen County cares about this...

Do you drive to Bergen County for your toilet paper on Sundays?

Maybe it's just the entertainment value of watching this whacko come back month after month under different names and starting up the conversation all over again.

On the other hand, someone like me who spent 50+ years in Bergen and left is still happy not to hit the megatraffic on a Sunday when I visit my mom there. In reality, I wouldn't have cared if they opened Sundays one way or the other when I still lived there.

I just moved here this fall... so please don't yell at me for being ignorant... I just have a few questions...

1) How often does this come up for a vote?
2) Is it not possible for municipalities to decide this on their own...Must it be a countywide consensus?
