If your apartment happened to be Jersey City, the city makes the landlord give back all the rent paid.

thanks everyone for all your input. i dont even want to fight to get my money back. its pointless really. when i was really heated still i wanted to get it, but at this point i dont care. She got what se deserved in the end. i could win, but its not worth my effort and whatnot. all i know is she pushed and pushed and pushed me, and i finally gave in to the anger and called zoning. zoning knew i lived there, she gave me a written reciept every month. plus she lied right to there faces that we were family. but the harrasing voicemails havent stopped, and she is trying to have people find me and beat me up, she was not wrapped to tight to begin with. i guess the whole learning experience is to research and check out a place before moving in. it was a frist time experience and im not gonna let it leave a bad taste in my mouth..thanks again for all your help.
