why can't use the train in Montclair? Traffic is becoming a pain on Route 3 , and the Park & Ride is full and more expensive then the local spots.... Theres a big Park & ride at Bay Street in Montclair.
I wanted more flexibility for evenings as I work late and the frequency of trains to Montclair stations drop, there is higher freqency of trains to Secaucus..

Actually , you only gain a few more trains.....the last train leaves New York Penn @ 12:40am , During peak hrs there is 2 trains per hour....
Gonna have to echo Nexis, why not just utilize the Montclair trains? There's not much added incentive to going all the way to Secaucus. You also have additional bus options there. Not as quick as the train but it is more options. If you're set on driving to Secaucus then you might as well try parking in Harrison and grabbing the PATH which will be cheaper and more frequent. Plus them new PA-5 cars on the PATH are nice! Not sure what rolling stock NJT has on its lines that serve Montclair right now but the PA-5 cars are gorgeous.
Does anyone do daily commute from Montclair to Secaucus Park & Ride ? How long does it take ? How is the traffic on Rt -3 ?
WHY??? If you dont want to use the train use 192/199 at clifton. The rail pass works on buses too and the buses are a short ride. But why not just do the train. Also several buses also run very late the 28 from bloomfield train station is late night when u cant get a train but seriously you only have to drive after midnight according to nexis not even
