I am about to buy a house in linden nj on south stiles street is this a good area? (safe area)

I'm moving from manhattan new york to new jersey and I have been looking for a house for some time now finally I found a beautiful house on south stiles street in linden nj but Im unsure about the area is this a safe area?

I want good and safe schools with sport programs and a easy commute to new york

Linden, most of the time is okay. I'm not sure how schools rate compared to others in recent times. Transport would be fairly easy. There seem to be more residential towns. Someone with more particular info will have to comment.
Also I see S Stiles covers both side of US 1&9 so wondering if its one side or the other of the highway?

well its s stiles street between W Linden Ave and W Edgar Rd if that help narrow it down
