Haven't scrolled through all 8 pages of replies, so sorry if this was already shared, but I think The Wall Street Journal is a tad more of a reliable source than "newsmax.com":
Perhaps it is still more reliable as a news source than newsmax.com.
Then again, ever since The WSJ was purchased by Rupert Murdoch, many journalists have lost respect for that publication.
Interesting. Can you go back to my post that you object to, and point out to me where I made such a statement?
First off, I said "suggest", but it may have been another poster who alluded to Christie being on the take while discussing how he beats up on teachers etc. It is obvious that he is a Dem and a fan of the previous administration, or a least more of a fan than of Christie.
It it was not you who made these suggestions, I apologize.
Perhaps if he had spent as much breath promoting consolidation as he has on slamming teachers and other public servants, perhaps he might actually have accomplished something in this area. Instead, character assassination is his stock in trade, rather than pushing for something that might (eventually) reduce state expenditures.
I have to tell you, Camaro, if these are the best defenses that you can present for your boy Chris, then he has very little going for him except ardent supporters who are blind to his shortcomings and at pains to find real accomplishments to cite for their support of him.
You know, I did a scroll of my posts going back 2 months and didn't see me slamming teachers or character assassinations.
But I did see some of my posts where I slammed Christie.

Clearly you missed my point, as well as many, many speeches given by our esteemed governor. In my post, "He" refers to Chris Christie, NOT to you, Camaro.

Opps!
But Christie knocked the teachers union, not teachers.

"Opps", indeed!
You need to review more of his off-the-cuff comments over the course of his tenure as governor. He does engage in character assassination and he has made sweeping generalizations regarding teachers and other public servants.
Yes, some urban schools in NJ are in deep trouble.
However, on an overall basis, NJ's elementary and secondary schools are consistently ranked among the absolute best in the nation.
When has he ever acknowledged this reality?

Yes, the schools where the wealth is concentrated are great, the rest, not so much. Just think how good those schools could be if they did not have the Abbott districts stealing from the cash register.

No, he went after the teachers. Specifically, the older teachers were under attack. I watched him say that the teachers make 6 figures. This was a lie. The general public was irate in real life, not just on this board. He also said that none of them pay for benefits when many clearly did. He told bald-faced lies that resulted in teachers being verbally assaulted in real life.
Did he say that it's the state's fault for not putting money, that by contract was supposed to go into the pension fund, into that fund? No, he said it was the teachers fault for making 6 figures & not paying for medical benefits. That was not an attack on the union. That was an attack on the teachers.

So are you saying that long term teachers aren't making 6 figures?
