Iam relocating to New Jersey because of a role-change and my work location would be Bedminister.
I needed recommendations for places to move in NJ. Iam a Single, 27 year old male and hence my preference would be to move into a neighborhood with a young crowd and a good Night-life with abundant outdoor activities .
My friends have recommended Either Hoboken or New Brunswick and i understand commute would be a challenge. Honestly iam ok with a 45 min commute every day , but would still want to look at other options.
Thanks...Just to clarify..i only quoted the Room-rent Budget...ill obviously have a separate stash for the 'fun' part ....Do you recommend any sites where i can look for rented rooms/apts for Morristown/New Brunswick ?
Yeah, Hoboken would be too far a commute....but any idea how long ?

I would figure 70 minutes or so on a typical day with no accidents
You would probably get from Hoboken to Bedminster in about an hour, but with traffic on 78 it could be longer. There is periodic construction on 78 that brings traffic to a standstill.
Go for either Morristown or New Brunswick, both of which are equidistant from Bedminster. Live in or near the downtown areas so you can stumble home from the bars.
Morristown's surrounding area is much prettier with better access to outdoorsy things such as hiking, kayaking, fishing, camping, but New Brunswick is not far from that stuff either. Morristown's area is hilly and some parts around there are quite rural, especially west of the town itself.
