My son just graduated from Rutgers and started at his job in Basking Ridge today. We live down near Belmar on the Jersey Shore. He is going to commute to his job for now but it is going to be a long ride and he wants to look for something up closer to work to rent. Anybody have any ideas of good areas or him to look? He would like to get a one bedroom apartment but I don't know if he will be able to afford that quite yet so other options are OK. Thanks!

Karen

There are a number of townhoues/condo 1-2 bedroom for rent in Society Hill, in basking ridge, The Hills, (Bedmister) has lots of condo, 1-3br.

If the rent there is to much start to look down in bridgewater area.

have him check out Morristown. It has a very vibrant downtown with bars, restaurants, trainline to the city, etc. IMO it would be the best place for a recent college grad that is within a reasonable commute of Basking Ridge.

I grew up in BR and man is it beautiful but it's too expensive. I think morristown might be the answer for him.
