Haven't lived in the area in over 10 years but jet noise was an issue back then. Maybe a current resident can opine. Teterboro is a pretty busy small airport catering to corporate types going into Manhattan.

While there are some noise from Teterboro, in Rutherford especially its negligible. I've never had to interrupt my conversation or even noticed anything in Rutherford, unlike South Hackensack where you feel like you are sitting on the runway.

There's almost no noise in Nutley.

Traffic during events affect all the towns, East Rutherford and Secaucus the most.

Clifton is just as good. They have trains and buses. Its a nice small city with a good downtown. Crime is slightly higher in Clifton in comparison to Nutley but its not too bad.

How does Lyndhurst compare to Bayonne? Is Lyndhurst less dense?

But its only 2 years , its not 5 , its not 10 ...its 2....why make your life via commute stressful when you can live in Bayonne....its pretty quiet during the night and after rush hr....its not like JC , but more like Staten Island...

I don't think Bayonne and Lyndhurst are the same. Lyndhurst is a burb-- a little more dense than the western suburbs but still a suburb. Bayonne is a city, very dense and more industrial.
