We are a family of 4 with a house in Jericho, Long Island. We are fairly comfortable here, but my wife has an opportunity to grow to senior management that she cannot pass up on. We have a 4 year old who should be going to Kindergarten in NY, but will not do so because of earlier cutoff in NJ. But I would still like her to get to KG since she is ready and moving to a different state will not change that.
We are looking to live in Edison, Metuchen or nearby and send our daughter to private kindergarten. I will work from home most days, and my wife can reduce her commute. I found a few schools online - Apple montessori, Sundance school, Little flower montessori, Wardlaw-Hartridge, etc. I like montessori, but would not mind any school with very good teachers and a good balance. Sundance and Wardlaw is fairly expensive (17k+). I do not know how much apple costs. What other schools did I miss? Would you recommend a private kindergarten school near Edison?
My wife's new job is in Edison, so staying in Edison will reduce her commute time. My daughter does not qualify for public kindergarten yet due to eariler cut off dates in NJ (atleast the school districts I looked at has an earlier cut off date than NY schools). So, we want to send her to private kindergarten. She will most probably repeat kindergarten in a public school, but we are going to wait an year to buy since we are not sure where we want to be yet.
I guess what I really require was lost in other details I had put in.
I am looking for a list of good PRIVATE Kindergarten schools for my 4 year old ( turning 5 in dec) near Edison NJ. I do not think she will qualify for public KG, since she will miss the cut off for most NJ schools, that is why are looking at private options.
