If there is any silver lining at all to this story, it is that he turned the gun on himself after he killed, unlike Mr. Holmes of Aurora, who is still with us.
both guns are likely semi automatic ......as full auto is illegal without unique permission and a lot of gunsmithing. AK repros are all semi automatic, meaning one shot per trigger pull. Same as a cowboy revolver, one pull, one shot.
To clarify; when AK47 is mentioned in the news it does not mean that firearm was fully automatic. If it was that would be news.
