hey everyone, planning to move to Austin, Texas or somewhere else other than NJ b/c its so expensive here. Selling the house and moving. We either want a condo that is almost new 2 bedrooms at least and updated or prefer a townhome with 2 car garage. Also newer and upgraded. Anyway in NJ or PA if not too far out. Doing a google search for this but find trashy garden apartments for $200 - $300k....just not worth it at all. Looking to spend no more then $350k. Does anyone know of any places or websites to help with the search besides Realtor.com which is the obvious. Thanks

If you're not set on moving south, houses in upstate NY --in the finger lakes area or north and east of Albany , houses are cheaper than $350,000. ditto for housing in NH.
If you only want the south or mid-west, there are plenty of places were nice houses are pretty cheap. The Austin metro area, North Carolina, Indiana and Illinois, esp Springfield, have such houses. Springfield, Ill. is a very pleasant quiet town w/ nice neighborhoods and very nice large parks, including a zoo. There's a large lake and a AAA baseball league and it's the state capital.
for other RE house sites, try individual large RE companies, like Coldwell Banker. There are also regional real estate sites like Northern New England Real Estate Network - Official Website of the Northern New England MLS and the NH Real Estate | NH Homes NH Condos NH Land NH Waterfront NH Realtor for NH. good luck.
