I am looking to relocate from Essex County to Bergen. I am a single mom and need to stay in the 400-500K range. Are there townhomes in that price range in towns that have good schools?

Ridgewood is a great town with an excellent school system. Also, Hillsdale, Mahwah, Ramsey, Oakland, Demarest, Closter are all beautiful towns with good school systems.

You should contact ReMax.

Look at Mahwah. It has many townhome communities. I'm pretty sure the schools are good, but you might want to verify that with other sources.

Absolutely yes.

In my area:

Mahwah has tons of townhomes.

Waldwick has a few. They have a bunch of brand new ones that have been sitting in this price range...

Ramsey has a few.
Allendale has a few.

I would rather live in the town that has a few than a lot but that is just me I think. The whole "condo land" is just not my thing.

All decent or great towns though.

400-500k should buy a nice 2br/2ba/1. or 3br/2ba/1 maybe depending on town.

they are building right now a bunch of new ones on cresent ave, allendale, nj. So this is ground floor to get in and make a deal. Its off Franklin Turnpike to Cresent ave, allendale. The other side of the road is called Hopper ave, waldwick, but the townhouses are in allendale. Great location, good schools. Brand spanking new, good luck

The ones in Waldwick are pretty large and are within walking distance of the downtown shopping area NJT. The Allendale ones as well. You cant go wrong with either for amenities and neighborhoods.
