Am looking for a nice sized hall rental where I can bring in my own food. Need to fit 75 people. For a birthday party.

Any help would be appreciated. The closer to Union County the better. Woman's clubs, church halls, etc.

Thanks in advance.

Try the Knights of Columbus in Rahway (Union County). I just went to an engagement party there. The food was catered (brought in by the couple's family), there was a cash bar (bar is seperate from main area so only those interested in drinks went) and the family was able to decorate. I think there was close to 90 people, and it was a very comfortable amount of space.

Good luck!

Default American Legions

Check these halls out-you can find them in the phone book. The one we're using in Middlesex County lets you bring your own food, use their kitchen and sterno table (no racks for us to bring in-woohoo). They also have packages for beverages ($1pp for soda, $4pp beer, wine, soda). It may differ in your area, but I think on a whole-American Legion halls offer a lot.

Smile Rental Hall needed

I too am looking for a nice, reasonable cost hall for a wedding reception. It would need to hold at least 120-150 people, open bar; we can supply bar needs. We would like to bring in our own food and decorations. Preferably in Union, Somerset, or Middlesex County. Let me know if anyone has recommedations.

Have anyone tried the Elks or American Legion Halls for party rentals? I am interested in having a 50th birthday party in a nice place.

Default inexpensive BBQ-picnic rental area

I am looking for an inexpensive hall, park, for a wedding reception, that has a kitchen I could use to bring in my own food. My theme is going to be a BBQ-picnic reception. To hold up to 100 people, and that has an outside lawn that can be used also buy my guest for the picnic and BBQ the hall used in case of rain. It can be a community center, church hall, rental picnic park. trees in the area would be nice to. The area in Uninon, Essex, or Hudson County, New Jersey

There's a Women's Club in Maplewood that has a really nice, lofty space.
