The Star Ledger today has an article saying that NJ will not provide license plate info to other states for the purpose of red light camera and speeding camera enforcement.

I think this is pretty cool. I hope the stick to their guns.

Because NJ drivers really need less driving oversight.

I've never seen a state with such aggressive, dangerous drivers in my life. "going with the traffic" is an idiotic excuse for speeding as traffic shouldn't be speeding in the first place. I've never lived somewhere where people literally get angry and blow the horn if I don't run a red light or pass me on the shoulder (or once in the grass) for doing 30 in a 25 mph flashing school zone.

Well that is one I could vote for. Sort of agrees with one of my old sayings: We have diplomatic immunity, we're from NJ.

Maybe a new bumper sticker: "Don't bother us, we already gave back home"

Hey, if you don't like the way we drive, stay off the sidewalk.

And the interesting thing about NJ's roads is that they all can lead you on a path to another state if that is your preference.

I walked out of my car in NYC to see if parking garage was open, got back in the car and drove a quarter of a block. Got pulled over, $138 for no seat belt. 3 seconds is too long without a seat belt in NYC - pay attention, people. Do not give them excuses. The only upshot is that they were way more polite than ANY jersey cop I ever met.

Also, out of state moving violations only count as 2 points on your NJ license. Doesn't matter if it was a 6 point offense in that state. As far as your NJ license is concerned, 2 points.

I would be polite too if I had just stolen $138 from you
