The Lehigh Valley is not Appalachia.

If you can find a reasonable job there, the cost of living is going to be much, much, much less than many parts of NJ. Finding a nice suburban house in a good school district for $200k.....nothing wrong with that.

You have the Pocono mountains nearby, decent shopping. Not a bad place to live.

I don't think anyone is implying that. (BTW, I checked my town and there are no registered sex offenders, doesn't mean there aren't any) But you can't deny there are areas with a higher concentration of molesters than others.
