Today I was driving in Phillipsburg NJ. My GPS screwed up and led me to the toll bridge going into Easton PA. i did not have any money to pay the toll. I don't want to be hit with a hefty fine, I just want to pay the toll and that's it. Who should i contact, NJ state departments or PA state departments? Has anyone been in this similar situation and worked it out OK?

It's a DRJTBC bridge but I think the only way to get a usual $50 extra fee knocked down to $0 is to find a relative or friend that has an existing EZPASS account then when you get the letter in the mail you can just go online and add your car to their account at least long enough for them to process it. You only pay the toll that way.

I don't think there's any other way but you can try. If you do it the way I mentioned there's a window with a button to click where the account holder takes responsibility for your tolls but they can remove your car a week or two later once your violation is cleared.

Yep there will be a violation number on that letter that you enter online once you or your friend sign on to the account. Simple after that. I have various kid's cars on my account for that Related kids.

Contact the Delaware River Joint Bridge Toll commission and let them know what happened. You may be able to mail in the toll of $1 and not pay a fine.
