ok, I will say what other wont. Are the other kids on the street ones that you want your kids to be friends with? Remember, when you sell, the next buyer will have the same issues as you (and they will not be getting a "new" house). With that said, if it is where I think it is, I am sure a bunch of the houses there will be redone or torn down. But not soon enough to change who will live there over the next 5 years

Also, see if the taxes were redone or not. You might be in for a huge surprise if they were not, and in a year or so they double.
