My husband is from Yonkers and one of the very few things I miss about our long-distance relationship are trips to Stew Leonard's. They have the best soft serve ice cream I've ever had.

I know of someone who commutes from Bloomfield, NJ to Yonkers, which I've heard is a pretty terrible commute. I agree with other posters that you'd probably only want to commute from northern NJ towns close to the NY border/GSP.

I don’t know but there’s a Stew Leonard’s in Paramus now if that helps sway your decision.
