Hi, I am looking for thoughts on housing (2 bedroom) between Montclair and Hoboken. I will work in
Hoboken and my partner works in Montclair. Will be relocating from south jersey/pa. Any
good thoughts on a SAFE, pet friendly (2 dogs) nice area? Thanks!!

If you can afford it, pick one or the other, probably Montclair.

I think it would come down to your budget, how old you are and how often you want to go out in NYC. If you dont want to have the option to go into NYC a few times a week, then save money and go with Montclair. If you want to have the experience of living near the city and being able to take a 10 minute train ride into and out of the city anytime you want, then buck up and live in Hoboken.

commuting, its probably going to be easier to commute to hoboken from Montclair, then the other way.

One is urban, one is suburban. That's the biggest difference.

One has nightlife, the other has nice restaurants - so it depends on what you want to do with your time. You'll find young families in both, but lots of young single people in Hoboken, and a lot more families in Montclair.

Hoboken has easier access to the city, and you'll get more for your money in Montclair.
