Hi, I'm thinking about buying a townhouse at High Point in Wayne, NJ and was wondering if any one has any comments or opinions about that townhouse community. Thanks!

Although the condo may not be in a flood zone, most people run for the hills with Wayne/ Fairfield / Pompton Lakes area. Your resale value is something you have to think about. These towns are notorious for going under water.

As with any real estate decision, you need to focus on YOUR particular targeted property. Floods in those towns do happen. There are also tons of houses that are NOT in a flood zone and have never come close to flooding.
Highpoint does not flood. Once again people hear Wayne and think the entire town is a flood zone when most areas have never flooded at all. I spent 30 years in Wayne living in 7 different locations and only one area flooded.
My biggest complaint about Highpoint (and for that matter the surrounding area) is highway access. It can take forever to get anywhere.

You just validated my point. The first thing people think of is floods. Sooooo resale and resale value will be difficult. People see the news ..... Not your particular neighbĂ´rhood. We have all seen the famous Willowbrook Mall under water....how many times?

If people "run for the hills" why does the town have a population of 50,000?
Don't bother answering as it's obvious you are too lazy to do any real research on anything.

Because no one can sell their homes. I do not need to do the research. My husband was the Director of Public Works for 26 years.
