Hello all,

Wife and I are planning a move to Cedar Knolls/Hanover, NJ. We've got the everything buttoned up. Just waiting on the job situation to finalize. Just curious about the area? Been there a few times and both of us seem to like it. We don't have any children. Just two very hard working individuals. Would love to read everyones thoughts on all things Cedar Knolls and Morris county as a whole?...

Just retired and left Morris County, but was there for 27 years. Make sure to check out Jockey Hollow Park, Frelinghuysen Arboretum, Great Swamp, Morristown restaurants and The Green at Christmas, St. Patrick's Parade in Morristown, and Fosterfields.

Hanover is a nice town and so convenient to getting around, plus the low(er) taxes! Take some time to get to know Morristown, which has a ton of restaurants and night life.

Excellent schools. You don't have kids yet, but you're ready if that happens.

the food in morristown isn't that great. to me its overpriced. Only the 2 indian places in the hyatt, the thai place, raul's empanadas, and the bagel place are good.

I haven't tried the godfather's pizza there but I like forte's better.

Morristown is a great town, I would move there if I want married with kids.

Hanover Twp, Cedar knolls and Whippany are fine towns.

my favorite supermarket is in cedar knolls, the shoprite of greater Morristown, have a liquor aisle,
which I never did see before in NJ.

Thanks everyone for your input. Coming from Long Island, I didn't notice too much of a culture change. One thing I does get my attention is that the cost of living is noticeably less in Morris County than in Suffolk County. Other then that, it's seems the same.

Lived in downtown Motown for four years. You will like it there. Great biking, hiking, runners area. Lots of parks and trails.
