I am up for a job in Perth Amboy and was wonder what is a good place to live close or around the area. I am single and in my late 20s so I am not looking for a family friendly area but safe. I am looking for place with a bit of a social scene. Can someone give me some ideas of places I can look at?

Rahwingtonville ,,, as I call it at times,,, Rahway is nearby and has a developing arts district in town with a mix of new and old buildings. Further North the towns get too crowded for my taste. Otherwise I'd look around . Some towns tend to have a local small twn freindliness to them, some other towns seem to stretch literally for many miles.

Carteret, Sewaren, Woodbridge, Rahway, and even Linden are good spots for the most part.
