Jewish population in Atlantic County? (Atlantic City, Brigantine: employment, purchase, casino)

I'm strongly considering relocation to Atlantic County, NJ to accept an offer of employment in a casino in Atlantic City. My pregnant wife and I are not religious at all, and need not live in a heavily jewish community. However, we do not wish to be the only jews on the block, so to speak, either.

We wish to purchase a 3 or 4 bedroom home, 300-400k, in an area that is no more than a 20-30 commute to the casino's of A.C. Any insight from those of you residing in, and familar with the area would be very helpful to us.

Thanks for the sperling link. Unfortunetly, the info provided there is quite vague and not helpful to me. I will interpret the lack of replies to my question as there must be a very small number of jewish people living in the atlantic county area, if any at all. If I am wrong about this, please correct me, and inform me otherwise, as I see other threads asking about jewish communities in this forum getting replied to, whereas my question is not. Hopefully someone living in that area can enlighten me soon??

According the the map, it seems as though you are in luck, as Atlantic County is in the upper % level, by county, of residents who are Jewish:



Additionally this pdf document says of 2004, there are 20,300 Jews residing in Atlantic County. That is pretty significant.

I really don't know what I'm talking about here as its not my area, but I do know that Brigantine is very nice and very close to AC. I have no idea about the Jewish thing though.

Hi, my brother-in-law and his family live and work in that area. There are Jewish people and temples of all levels of observance in the greater Margate area, as well as a really nice Jewish Community Center. I hope this helps,
