My father probably would NOT have asked anyone to help him.

But I am sure you are right. I would help someone that way if they needed it.

That made me laugh.

Reminded me of a man I worked with. He and his wife are Latinos who grew up in the Bronx. Saved their money and bought a house in Westchester County. The first Christmas, some neighborhood carolers came around.

He said he and his wife were peeking from behind a curtain, asking each other, "What do they want? Do we have to give them money or they won't leave?"

He was keeping an eye on you because you have Jersey plates.

That's because you're used to getting things off of the top shelf at the supermarket for people.

Most of my travels have been driving. I’m in North Carolina right now. On this trip I’ve pumped gas in Maryland and NC. No credit card hold.

Literally every other state has had self-serve gas forever except for Oregon. The sky is not falling New Jerseyans!
No one is acting like the sky is falling so please cut the insults and snye remarks about people who have a legitimate reason for not pumping their own gas. This is all because of the ego and jealousy people who have to pump their own gas in their own states feel. It's pure jealousy and has nothing to do with waiting in line and it will never lower the cost anymore than taxes are lowered. So what that you chose to pump your own gas nobody cares except you because you all sound so very jealous that you have to in your state.

Well now since people from other states can dictate what NJ should do I say raise your taxes!!! as high as NJ!! With all the over taxing New Jersey residents have to pay people shouldn't have to pump their own gas at the very least.

Since you dictate to NJ then I say your taxes are entirely to low time to make you pay like NJ does. I say lets have a secret vote that you don't get sent to you to have a say the same as has been done to NJ residents. I never ever once got a ballot or any damn thing to vote on pumping gas. Time to raise your taxes on every State that pumps their own gas.

Full service used to mean the attendant would clean your glass front and back, check your oil, wipe down your wiper blades. I prefer self service, but if someone wants someone else to pump there gas, hey, go for it. Choice is better.

This post is far more dramatic than anything I’ve written. Whatever emotions you’re assuming, they’re not originating from my side of the conversation. I know this forum is used to non-existent moderation, but don’t for one second think I won’t take action if you’re going to talk to anyone like this, me included.

FYI, my state is NJ, so I’m confused by half your post.

It's ok if people want to pump their own gas no one is stopping them. But to force people to do it is not right. Plus now over charge them when an attendant does it isn't the answer either. Unless people want the attendant to get rental assistance, food vouchers, snaps. Well then it's rewarding the attendant for not working. No one stops anyone from pumping their own. I have seen people pump their own and when they do no one stops them because they can if they want to.

You know exactly what I am saying.

You made the insult not me. Other states are not paying their fair share of taxes. We have a huge deficit in this Country and all people can think to complain about and insinuate that NJ people are acting like the sky is falling you brought it on not me. The point you do get is that complaining about NJ residents who don't want to pump their own gas do not deserve to insulted as you did in your previous post that I was responding to.

Threatening to have me removed just because you don't like what I typed is not going to stop me. You insulted me and other residents when you made that assumption about us. Dramatic? you will find out what dramatic is since people who want to pump gas insult people who don't and can't. This is your big concern that because you can and do everyone should be forced to.

Well then I say since I have to pay more taxes than people from other states do, you know the states you bragged you pumped your own gas in, should start paying their fair share towards the deficit.

Is this easy enough for you to understand Go one threaten action for having an opinion when you hurled out an insult. Then I will start my action too.
