I am not asking you to make a decision on what Murphy says.
As a taxpayer who pays for state owned cars, I am simply asking how many electric vehicles does the state own.
If the governor is going to talk the talk, then he should walk the walk.
Well I for one think it is a fantastic idea for the state to buy fleets of F-150 EVs. They start at under $40k, and are perfect for fleets. I'm sure governments across the country have the same idea, but Ford can't make enough electric trucks at the moment.
can you imagine while chasing a criminal the car ran of battery? Or need 1 hour of charging time to continue the chase?
How would that be any different than a car that ran out of gas? Has there ever been a time when a cop pulled into a gas station to refuel in the middle of a chase and still caught the guy?

Gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles have a fuel gauge, and EVs have a very sophisticated dashboard read-out showing the percentage of charge remaining, along with the estimated amount of running time remaining on that charge. A sentient person should be able to determine at a glance whether his/her vehicle has sufficient remaining range for the task at hand.
spending OUR money in the best ways possible for the each particular use case
Agree. And I am referring to the $4000. Are you?
That $4000 IS our money - so ya gotta show that you're getting more than $4000 back from it. That is - the gov't is SAVING at least $4000. Per vehicle.
