Rutgers (New Brunswick) is not far from those areas. Those towns should be 20-30 minutes from NB. Another possibility is Monmouth University (in West Long Branch), which is about 25 minutes from Marlboro and 35 minutes from Manalapan. Good Luck.

I think Montclair is near there too. Check their website.
The College of NJ and Rider area also a commutable distance, but it would be better to live on campus, since they may be about 45-60 minutes away.

Brookdale CC in lincroft is close by also, if your kids are like most they won't be going to college close to home, so I wouldn't be too concerned about how close schools are

While these schools are technically close, they are about an hour away from Marlboro/Manalapan. IDK how close they want to be. A commute of an hour or longer can be pretty rough on a student.

Yeah it looks like your kids would probably go to Monmouth if they were going to commute on a daily basis & enrolled into a 4 year program.

Not a problem at $35,000-$40,000 a year and that's at todays dollars. Better add a few thousand more since you have 3 more years to go.

Monmouth and Rutgers would probably be the closest, both are about about 20-30 minutes away. Montclair and Rider aren't really close to that area, they'd be at least an hour drive.

There is also Brookdale Community College which is only about 10-15 minutes away but I'm not sure if they'd want a community college.
