Anyone ever use William King from House Master Home Inspections?

Just wondering. A friend of mine recommended a different person at this company but he no longer works there, so we got this guy. Our inspection is scheduled for next week.

The requisite questions...

Is he ASHI?

Does he have a sample report you can see?

Does he do this as a full time job or just extra money on weekends?

I did pre-purchase home inspections for 20 years before the state started to regulate it (over 5000 inspections). First ask how long he has been doing this and how many inspections hes done. The state requires classroom time today but theres no substitue for experience in the field. ASHI is a nice starting point but I met many who belonged to ASHI who were relative new comers to home inspection and had little field experience. Second......ask if there is a legal waiver you have to sign requiring arbitration.....if you sign this you lose your rights to sue if if he overlooks something important. Does he have insurance. Bottom line is you want the individual with the most experience......and don't forget a radon test !!!
