Hey my sister is looking to purchase a Bull Terrier Puppy, but they are almost impossible to find in New Jersey. Does anyone know where we could find one in Jersey?

Try breeders.net. Also try the Bull Terrier Club of America, they s/b a breeder link on it. Get reference, ask about a guarantee etc.
Good luck
PS Also there is a big dog show today and tomorrow in Tarrytown NY, you can google it for more info, but you may be able to meet some BT breeders there and see their dogs etc.

She needs to go to dog shows. And talk to the people showing the dogs (AFTER the class, please!). They'll know who's planning on puppies.

Bull terriers are GREAT dogs and very sweet. She can find information on where dog shows are going to be in her area at Home Page, InfoDog -* The Dog Fancier's Complete Resource for information* AKC Dog Show Events, and Dog Products and Services

Frankly breeders.net is full of backyard breeders and I wouldn't ever patronize someone who has a puppy for sale there.

Good breeders don't need to advertise.

True, there's probably more byb's on breeders.net than reputable breeders but rep. breeders are on the site as well, to educate, it's not too dissimilar to breeders websites etc. Like anything else, buyers need to research and do their homework as far as breeders, get references, make sure the puppies are healthy and have been to a vet etc.

I couldn't agree with you more. I adopted my two current BTs from a Bull Terrier rescue. Both are the most beautiful well mannered (with training of course) pooches on the block. There are BT rescues in every state. NJ also has a rescue I believe. You get to save a pooch and adopt a bully at 1/6 of the cost. If you haven't already, I would do some research on the breed. They definitely aren't for everyone, and I would avoid getting a bully if you already have another animal in the home. Just my .02 cents

Try all shelters...make phone calls...do a search in petfinder.com
Please do not buy a pet! For every pet that is bought one in a shelter somewhere will be euthenized at that very moment! Please adopt a bullie somewhere and save a life so deserved! She/He will thank you for the rest of your life! It is such a wonderful feeling and so rewarding to adopt a dog that was so unwanted, or just plain had a terrible start at life! Good luck in your journey!

thank you all for your advice and info....after looking for weeks we still couldn't find any bull terriers, but we did find a simular dog. English Staffordshire Bull Terrier, these dogs are rare in america, but AMAZING DOGS. I looked up a lot of info on them, they are very loyal to owners, LOVE KIDS and they have no record of ever attacking a human. To me they kind of look like a mini pitbull. They only grow to be 40 pounds max, but its all muscle. We also got a female so it should grow to be around 30 pounds, right now its a puppy i will post pictures and videos later on for you all as it ages!

Shelters FTW. I would never buy a dog through a breeder. $500-$1000-$5000 for a dog!!!! They are out of their effing minds!!!
