Anyone have any they love, hate...don't know why, just thought of this and didn't even listen to the village people today.

I think Wyckoff's ROCKS and I wish it was closer I'd be a member.

I wish the MEADOWLANDS Y had a FACILITY - would be nice....

I have not experienced Ridgewood's, but I have heard it is nice, but I can't see it being better than Wyckoff's.

I wondered about the same thing not too long ago. I'm in central Jersey and was wondering if there is a good one here by me. I am near Rt. 35 and 36- Middletown, Hazlet area.

Are they pricey?

I have heard good things about the one in Union. Also, some others but don't remember which.

They tend to vary in price a lot too.
I think Edison and Montclair are supposed to be nice too, not that they are by you.

The one in Basking Ridge is SPECTACULAR.
I'm not a member, but I've seen the place. They added an "aquatic center" recently, with three pools, water slides. The place is like a top notch private gym. Amazing. Here's a link, where you can get info & see photos.

That is a very nice one. Affordable prices closer to the bottom but you don't have as many options. I would like those prices better

I don't live there though, I hope someone can comment on one in my area.

There is one in Westfield.

My kids go to a YMCA summer camp in Marlboro. Been there 2 summers, they love it.

Are there any YWCA's anymore, or all YMCA's?

Why is it sad that you need money to get nicer things? I'm quite comfortable with the fact that working hard & making a decent wage lets me afford things for myself & my family that I might not otherwise have. I want nice things, I work for the money to afford those nice things. Nothing sad about that.

Not to turn this into a different thread...what is sad is a lot of people work as hard as you do and CAN NOT afford it. Never think how hard a person works = how much they earn...that's far from the case.

It's also sad that in NJ you need to be LOADED not just doing well.
