If the election was held today would you vote for Jon Corzine for governor (sales, property taxes)

I would not vote for CorZine. I would like to have Christi Whitman back so that she can mess up some more, and then the person after her trying to fix her problems would get blamed. The cycle would continue.
you're forgetting that Christie was appointed by George W. Bush -- no one wants that again.
if Corzine doesn't run, I'd want Dick Codey.
Why don't you speak for yourself.. Many people like Christie, he's trustworthy, unlike the last few Governors of NJ. And Dick Codey is just a lackey for the Dems.
I love it-CHRISTIE IS BETTER!!! NOOOO!!! CORZINE IS BETTER!!! We could elect Jesus Christ governor of this state and we'd still have the same problems. Until the people of New Jersey get off their butts and vote NOTHING will ever change. The governor and the entire legislature are elected by a tiny minority and believe me they know it. Blame corruption on any party you wish-the fact of the matter is that its rampant throughout our state government because Republican or Democrat they know that they simply have to serve the interests of the select few people in their district who actually bother to vote. Our turnout is abysmal and until it improves, nothing will happen. Back in 1993 (Florio vs. Whitman) 2,505,964 total votes were cast and there were about 3,000,000 eligable voters. Not bad. However, turnout has dropped steadily ever since, and even during that election people had no clue who they were voting for in terms of the legislature. All they cared about was getting rid of Florio. All it takes is a basic knowledge of civics to know that a governor does not singlehandedly pass legislation.
