is Teterboro even considered a real town? Moonachie is pretty tiny in terms of population. Only like 2,000 people. i think Bogota is a small town too. the borough hall in Bogota looks like it could be some one's house, that's how small it is.

Teterboro is a town. It is classified as a town by Bergen County. I've heard the arguement made for years, especially when there is pressure for Teterboro to "merge" with one of the neighboring towns. Back in the late 90's, maybe 2000, there was something like a population of 20 people there, and there was a great deal of pressure.

Some people might interpret what a "town" actually is differently, however, as far as I know Teterboro is in fact a town. Then you have some people say a town is different than a village (the term is used in NY), and is slightly different than a municipality -- OK, more semantics -- but, Teterboro is a town.

If we are talking about size, I still think Teterboro would rank up there. I would have thrown Rockleigh into the mix, perhaps Wood-Ridge. I don't know the sizes, but I am just thinking as I drove through some of these towns. If you told me Wood-Ridge was 4 times the size of Teterboro, I wouldn't be surprised as this was strictly knee-jerk.
