Mine kicked in this week too...not loving it! I swear, advil cold & sinus gives me the most relief. And it is SO DUMB that you have to be 18+ to buy it! So I can have my 15 yr old nephew pick up an rx for codiene or valium.... but not otc advil.... you can't make this stuff up!
There is a very valid reason for that ..there is an ingredient in some cold & sinus meds that is crucial to manufacturing methamphetamine and those that contain it are no longer on the shelves you have to ask for it and you are limited to how many you can buy at one time
I've been suffering for several weeks now.
The neti pot is helping along with OTC meds.
Think the trees held on to their blooms longer with the cool weather in north Jersey.
My allergies are starting up now but aren't usually at their worst until early May. They have started later than usual, though. Zyrtec has been working for me so far.
Today, my car is covered with an inch of tree pollen
I have mostly oaks on my street and I suffer
All in al,l I don't mind the sneezing for all the shade the trees provide all summer.
Is it me, or does is the allergy season uncommonly light right now in North Jersey?
Usually by this time of year, I am all doped up on meds just hoping not to sneeze more than 50 times in a row. Now? Hardly anything. Something strange is going on...
Actually quite the opposite, this year we're in for a bad one. Have you seen the cars lately loaded with pollen? I heard on the news just this morning this year was going to be bad however we're suppose to get some rain tomorrow which should wash away some of it before it builds up too much.
I hate alergies but some great inventions to help are Caritain D (now over the counter but really dries you out) and Zyrtec another over the counter drug but much milder. Claritain D I'd probably recommend for the real bad days.
OK - allergy season is HERE. My car is freaking green, and it's not green. UGH.
