Not looking good for Corzine. (Union: wages, living in, teacher)

He's not Corzine. But I don't think that really matters. Corzine is going to pull out of the race at the last minute and some other ass-hat is going to step in.
No one gives a **** about unions anymore. Unions have been squeezing the LIFE out of NJ FOREVER and are so outdated/behind the times in theory, common sense and practicality.
Those who can: DO. Those who doubt their abilities/like socialism: pay union dues, vote for democratic jerks and keep driving NJ farther and farther into the sewers of Hades.

I do not agree with your statement and this is one of the reasons I am hesitant of voting for Christie. I think unions are an important part of this country and right to work laws should be repealed in all states that have them.
He promises to cut spending, he says too much government breeds corruption. I think his insight in this area is pretty good, living in Hudson county I am sensitive to this. Also I think he is honest about tax cuts, he wants to cut income and business taxes but realizes he can't do it right away.

But all candidates make the same promises, but what they dont tell you is how it will be accomplished.
Tahiti, how do you think he will accomplish that? I am still undecided.
Read his policy platform. If you're pro Union, you probably should vote for Corzine.
If you want your property and state taxes to go down, you probably should vote for Christie.
Unfortunately, some genius redid his campaign website to something that supposedly looks flashier (but also doesn't work in my browser).
One of the things that he wants to do, that will substantially lower costs, and improve finances in the long term is to fix the pension system by closing defined benefit plans (AKA ponzi schemes) to new employees. My understanding is that fixing the state pension system would also improve the long term outlook for property taxes (because the towns pay into that system)

I think unions are a good thing, but not for government jobs. And obviously there have been other union related disasters like in the auto field...
I think they serve a good purpose, but they need to be fine tuned. The government is simply unwilling to stand up to the unions like private companys will.

If people want to assemble to form a union, fine, but government should not get involved. NJ needs more production, not less.
Quite simply, NJ cannot afford Corzine for another four years. We know he won't reduce the deficit, and NJ desperately needs to. Fiscal policies matter and Corzine is putrid in this regard.
