How are unions good in any form?

They were created for very different reasons than what they exist for today.

Today, unions are small groups of socialists living in a capitalistic environment.

Unions are a pacifier stuck hard and fast in the mouths of those who don't WANNA.

Is your support for unions greater than your concern for the well being of the state? His support of unions doesn't help the state and there are some who argue it hurts the state. His actions on taxes and spending have certainly been detrimental. Ultimately the lack of jobs disproportianally affect union members.

They also protect poor workers and hold back productive workers. If an employer wants to let an employee go, he should be able to. It's his business - and the employee has the right to leave.

You got that right.

The Teacher's Union is a PRIMO example.

they keep jobs in the middle class.

If there was not a strong union, do you think UPS/Fed ex employees would be paid solid middle class wages?

They wouldnt be.

but i do think that unions have their place, and can become too powerful that they actually hurt themselves.

Look at what happened with the UAW.

For what? Fair working conditions?

The day and age where unions meant anything are LONG GONE. Today, unions are nothing more than a form of out-dated bribery.
