According to Moorestown we hit bottom like a year ago. Don't see why we need all this govt. intervention if all if fine and dandy?

At least they didn't increase it to $15,000 as rumored before.....
We are closing tomorrow on our 1st new home, and I would be pissed if we missed out on an extra $7000 by just a few weeks.

Sweet! I'm about to go under contract on a home with closing on December 18th... I didn't qualify as a new home buyer or even under the income restrictions of the previous one but we have owned our current home for a little over 5 years and were within the salary guidelines on this one! $6,500 we weren't expecting!!!!!!!

Right, Delphi? And someone explain why I am so privileged as to be allowed to pay more taxes but never get included in any of these 'incentives'?

You are entitled to pay more taxes so that Govt can spend your money on someone who can't afford the stuff he/she wants (but not need).

Now the toxic garbage is shifting from private balance sheet to govt balance sheet. The tiring thing is Govt is encouraging the garbage to build.

We are sold as a nation.

I could use 8000 bucks right about now. We bought our house right before this thing went into play and our house has only dropped in value.

O well.

I wonder if that means attorneys will stretch closings now. We are scheduled to close on the 16th - our buyer wanted a fast closing and now, all of a sudden, has all kinds of issues. We need to get out of here as we are relocating. Good deal for people benefiting from the extension. Not such good news for the sellers.

They never met a ponzi scheme they didn't like.

Suits me fine since I'm set to close in December. As a policy proposal however, it's right up there in the "bad policy hall of fame" with cash for clunkers.
