We just adopted a 10 week old puppy form a rescue group, and I'm trying to find some inexpensive puppy kindergarten classes to take her to. I was hoping there would be some sort of classes offered through Essex county of Bloomfield township (like where i previously lived), but that does not seem to be the case. Does anyone know of/recommend a good place to start training?

check out your local Adult schools. They usually have classes. I know the trainer we used does classes and she was wonderful.

Try Camp Bow wow...Their inexpensive, i actually take my 2 1/2 bishon poodle mix there on the weekends to play with the other puppies. Not sure how much the training cost, but the camp stays are reasonable. $20 for half day and $40 for full. I would imagine the training should be reasonable as well.

I think there's a dog training school in Bloomfield near the Friendly's on Broad St. Cross the bridge that goes over the Parkway and it's there on the left, next to a dog groomer called Pups N Suds.
