I'm in the camp for legalizing marijuana all around and for anyone. Regulate it to the nth degree, sell licenses (expensive licenses) to be able produce it, wholesale it and retail it....and collect taxes off of it. Just like the liquor industry is regulated and run.
I don't use it, never have. I'd rather have a nice vodka martini or a glass of merlot (or two or three), but for medical use, I don't have an issue with it at all. If people who are sick need it to get through their day, I'm all for it.
Just legalize it completely already. That way cops in Newark and other rough cities in the state can actually focus on real crime. I don't know what it's like in Camden, Trenton and Asbury Park but I know cops in Newark care too much about it considering the other crimes being committed and the fact it's only about a $50 fine for the city.
Very good, as the sister of someone suffering from esphogael (sp?) cancer I can attest this does help ease the nausea and stimulate an appetite. Of course he lives in Colorado.
I agree with several other posters just legalize it all together already
Congratulations N.J. Did the legislature legalize it or did medical MJ become legal by a direct election ?
What I don't understand even if booze is legal and medical cannabis is becoming legal in the states one at a time and soon general pot use may start to become legal at some point, why isn't salvia smoking outlawed ? Salvia is going under everyone's radar and is totally legal in most states.
Just go onto YouTube and look at all the videos of people smoking salvia and look at what it makes them do.
Driving drunk is bad enough but could you imagine someone actually driving after even one toke of salvia. I would ride in a car driven by a guy who had just smoked a bit of weed any-day before getting in a car driven by someone who is drunk or especially someone who has just smoked salvia.
It's very rare that NJ takes a stand for less regulation and more freedom. Very rare.
I don't use marijuana, either medically or recreationally, but I support the legalization of medical marijuana. I don't really support recreational drug use, but feel it's probably inevitable.
I agree that legalizing it for medical purposes is a good idea, although maybe they should legalize it for everyone and tax it. Anyway, according to the newspapers, people will be allowed to purchase 2 oz. per month. How many cigarettes are they able to get from 2 oz.? Just curious.
