"A top aide to GOP gubernatorial nominee Susana Martinez received $24,000 in extra pay over a two-year period in addition to seeing her side business receive a no-bid $60,000 deal to provide supplies to the Doña Ana District Attorney’s office, the Santa Fe New Mexican is reporting."

Someone mentioned that often things can be morally wrong while still being 'legal.' Perfect example here.
Did you see her flip out on the news and call Denish a liar because she got caught flip-flopping on school vouchers? Up until the last few weeks I at least had respect for Martinez as a candidate and politician. I don't want a governor that throws hissy fits whenever she is found to be in the wrong. She should just articulate why her opinion has changed or at least be honest about her position, not attacking Denish for pointing out about Martinez has changed sides on this particular issue. If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. It concerns me that Martinez may become governor when she is out getting angry like that. I hope Denish uses these stories to full use. I know i've already been circulating the videos of Martinez to friends and family... This should at the very least make the campaign entertaining for me hahaha. Anyhow, flip flop after flip flop and now this hypocrisy about corruption, may not work out for Martinez. Her camp better respond in some way to minimize the punch she's receiving... Politics is a blood sport hahaha I NEVER would want to be in a candidates position.

JBM, Honestly get a clue!
How DARE Denish say lies about Martinez's plan. Its unnecessary!

Whether it's a lie or the truth, was not his point. Martinez' meltdown in response to common political rhetoric was the issue. Thin-skinned politicians are not very effective.
I've found these shouting matches to be far less interesting than political betting websites like Iowa Electronic Markets (operated by the University of Iowa) or Intrade, where you can put real money on your candidate to win.
Apparently nobody's sure enough about this gubernatorial election to put money down as yet. Still, I'd consider a bet for $0.01 worth more than a million "my candidate will win" posts on here.
The only thing missing, is the pom-poms and the megaphone?
Steve
