Why on earth does he need to go? Until recently, you claimed to be a democrat. I guess you've flip flopped completely?

That's easy. Because Democrat = Socialist = Muslim = terrorist = gay marriage = Nazi, therefore they all must go. That's the level of discourse these days.

I would vote against him solely because he is in favor of passing the Fairness Doctrine and making sure it gets established in New Mexico. (I really don't even know what else he is for or against ... he is pretty invisible as a United States Senator.)

I consider the Fairness Doctrine an infringement on Free Speech and the private business sector.

If you published a newspaper and printed a hack job on me, I could publish my own newspaper and respond.

But the FCC controls the frequencies. If you broadcast a hack job on me on channel 3, which the FCC grants you a license to broadcast on, I couldn't just start up channel 6 and rebut things without obtaining an FCC license. If I don't get time on channel 3 to rebut, then the FCC is making things unfair by giving one side a position and denying the other side's right to respond in the same medium.

The fairness doctrine preserves free speech by denying FCC licensees the right to squelch the free speech of others.

The private business sector's rights do not include exclusive control of the public's airwaves.

But then again, if you don't work for the public but instead work for the private business sector, I can see how you'd hold that opinion.

The only GOPer i'd consider voting for woud be Mr. Gary Johnson.

I had no idea Mr. Bingaman was for the Fairness Doctrine. In light of that, he just earned my vote. Good post, btw, Zoidberg.

However, I'm about pooped about politics... The last cycle has only been over a few days. I need time to recuperate before thinking of 2012. And besides, the world will end then anyhow, so no need to worry

My vote would be Allen Weh. While it would probably be very difficult for anyone to defeat Bingaman (unfortunately), I would probably say Allen Weh would be the best challenger.
I doubt anyone can beat Bigaman, but if they can, Allen isn't the one. He isn't even that popular among Republicans.

Heather Wilson - a vile, vile human being (does her hubby still fancy little kids?). 6. Steve Pearce - comfortable in the H of R., not going anywhere. 7. G. Zanetti - one of those Calvary Chapel loonies.

Perhaps Bradly could name a sitting Democratic politician he doesn't hate? Or perhaps a policy the Democrats he hates espouse.

Otherwise, he could just be one of those "I'm a die-hard Democrat" who never votes that way. I suppose I'm much the opposite.
