The state of New Mexico primary election is today.
We are voting for U.S. Senate candidates, nominees in all three of the state Congressional districts (some hot races there!) and many state Representative, Senate and judicial races.
Voting is one of our most sacred rights as U.S. Citizens.
And remember ... if you do not vote, you are discualified from bitching about things later.

Shamefully, I would hazard to guess that 90% of our population have no idea who their state representative is, the district they are in, and I would go so far as to say over half of us do not know who our U.S. congressional district representatives are. Presidential elections every 4 years in November seem to be what most of us are interested in. I would argue that this is the extent of the intellectual capacity most are willing to apply to public civics, and that in reality, the presidential election is one of our least significant. Primaries for state and U.S. congress/senate are just as vital if not moreso.

I hope to see you at the polls!
I guess I can't ***** then. I have no time to go to the polls. lol
Actually I wanted to go vote. Since I just moved to SF last August, I do not have a voter registration card, and my drivers license still says I live in Santa Rosa, and I don't know how they run things here, so I just thought it would be easier and not frustrating other people because I don't know just by not going.
For the record, I just got off of work and I have to go to class in 10 minutes.
To vote in a primary, one must be a registered member of one of the parties. Since I am not such a member, and will likely never be one, I only get to vote in the general election.
