After a long day at Bosque Apache capturing amazing pictures, I'd call a couple of saltines and a piece of baloney a welcome meal, so any of those spots is a delicious option to top things off. There's a gas station on the way back out on the north side of the road that always has fresh mint fudge and brownies that are delicious too.
I any of you care to visit the Bosque in the very early morning the "La Casa Blanca" B&B is located in San Antonio within walking distance of both these establishments. It is a very nice and quiet place except for the feral Peacocks in the morning.
I like the Buckhorn burger, but it's been a very long time since I've been in the Owl.
I do remember the dollar bills stapled to the walls, though.
