Just a little bit more on hotels. My wife and I just moved from Alamogordo, NM, to Moses Lake, WA. We U-Hauled it and towed our '11 Kia Soul on a car tow dolly behind the truck. We were so tired from cleaning out our Alamogordo rental house that we only made it to Deming, NM, the first night. We stayed at 4 Motel 6's along the way and although two of them charged about $20 more than the other two did all accepted our two dogs and two cats at their hotels. The two that were $20 more probably charged extra for the pets. But all were acceptable temporary lodging for us for our journey. FWIW for you I hope it helps give you some more information.
I started missing my birth state of Washington and found a similar job in Moses Lake, WA. So far so good from up here in Seahawk-land!
