A few people I work with are from the east coast and are part of Teach for America (i'm a teacher). They are from the midwest and east coast. I don't believe there are many placements in farmington (could be wrong). Most of the placements are probably on the Navajo Reservation (which is about halfway between Gallup and Farmington (45 min to an hour). There are a few in Gallup as well.

You may not even be a part of Teach for America though and if you're not, my entire post is worthless lol.

No, actually you're right on the money- I will be receiving my placement through Teach for America and Im incredibly grateful for the opportunity. You say you teach WITH TFA corps members? What school do you work at?

I teach in Newcomb, NM. There's probably (i think 5 [maybe]) in this area, that I know of. They seem to enjoy it. It was a big culture shock to some of them though.
