You might be able to get a State Dept. desk job, except the new federal budget slashed State Dept. jobs. With a completed MA in Global Studies, ou might be able to teach Geography in highschools, along with TESOL in NM, and maybe theater. With an MA, you don't need a teaching certificate, I don't think. You can research that online.

There are lots of jobs for delivery drivers & construction workers in Santa Fe, as well as health care workers. Not too many jobs for people teaching English. You can't even teach TESOL in a community college, because you haven't completed your MA. I'd suggest you finish your MA, before you try to move out here. In Santa Fe, rents are high and wages are low, so a lot of people can't get by on just 1 service type of job. An MA would help you rise above that.

The problem I am having with my MA, is that it is geared toward global missionary work more than anything. Its from Liberty University, and unfortunately they offer most of their courses in my program only online. I want get the degree, but I am not good with online classes. My thoughts are that I could try to find a college and see what I can get to transfer, or I can start a new program and focus on getting a teaching degree or something of the sort.

Take a look at grad programs, then, at UNM, and New Mexico Highlands University. One of your main criteria for moving, if you want to finish an MA, would be regions that have a uni grad program that fits some of the coursework you've already done. NM may not have that. Or you could consider starting from scratch with a new MA, if you have your heart set on NM and don't find a grad program to fit some of the grad work you've already done.

One way to get a free education is to take a job at a university. Then you get free tuition for one course per semester. I know people who plodded through an MA program all the way through a PhD program, that way. Depends on your level of patience.

OP, if you are content with more unremarkable work, it should be easy to get a job in Albuquerque. And there is surely a lot to explore out here. Furthermore, there are opportunities for education if you see that as an avenue to advancing your options. If you are really into TEFL, UNM offers an MA in TOEFL.
I was reflecting on "TEFL" and teaching English as a second language to Spanish speakers might be an opportunity for the OP.

New Mexico's economy is down with a high unemployment rate. So unless you have skills that are in demand here you should probably look at a state/city where your chances of finding a job would be better.

How about looking to see if there are any entry level state jobs in Albany or another close state? Albany or Harrisburg aren't super big metropolis's as far as size. You could easily drive to those interviews and it would give you a stable job on which to get some experience. You need to get some work experience along these lines more than you need an online master's from Liberty that may keep you unemployed. This would get you experience where you would be more employable in a professional situation and then you could apply for work in another state.
