How long do you guys think until dispensaries will be able to stock and get up and running in 2022?

From everything I've read PurLife and Ultra Health, the two big local producers have been getting their ducks in a row for this for years now. They have big production facilities lined up and should be good to go by 2022. Not so sure about all the smaller producers...I know that one of the big concerns in the legislature was trying to figure out a way to keep the big guys from flooding the market with cheap product right out of the gate and driving their smaller competitors out of business.

While watching an El Paso news station I saw an (incredibly unconvincing) argument put forth by the mayor of Las Cruces as to why this was a bad idea. I wonder if certain cities will wish to opt out of this? I know that even in Colorado, certain places like Colorado Springs don´t have dispensaries.

Despite the mayor's puzzling opposition I don't think there'll be any question about legal cannabis coming to Las Cruces. It's a college town and pretty liberal for southern New Mexico so I think market forces will win out. If local bans happen anywhere it'll be in places like Farmington or Alamogordo but even then I think resistance will be futile. In Alamo, for instance, Ultra Health is setting up big grow operations in Tularosa just a little ways north that I expect will mean no real local resistance there.
