I can't imagine why any real estate agent would care what your orientation is as long as they can earn a commission. If you get bad vibes off of an agent, just get a different one. It's not like you are in a relationship.

Discrimination against gays is legal unless New Mexico or Ruidoso has passed a local law. A federal anti-discrimination law, ENDA, has been stalled for years in Washington by the 'religious' right.

You have to be able to prove discrimination, which is sometimes very difficult.

Whether or not a person is gay should not even enter into the business relationship between an agent and a client/customer.

What I have NEVER understood is why a gay person has to wear his/her sexual orientation on his/her sleeve.

Who cares? As long as a lesbian isn't hitting on me (hasn't happened yet),I could NOT care less...and this is coming from a lifelong conservative Republican.

Why would a real estate agent in Ruidoso care if your gay? The money you use is still green right? That is what counts most.

I am a life long Conservative Republican as well, and I agree with Cathy. I could care less what your orientation is, as long as you stay out of my pocketbook.
