The West Nile vaccine is cheap, get it. Do not risk your horses when the shot is so cheap. Think of it as cheap insurance.
When I had horses, we didn't have any cases of West Nile in Maine, however there were some in neighboring states. I vaccinated because one never knew.

You know something, we never had a problem until this year with fleas or hworms. I just had to put down Harley for he had a severe case and was dieing because of them. Song get them vac. for they are killers. The cure is something I would not want to put any of them through.

Last year we did not have a problem with fleas and other bugs but this year, the dogs have been scratching and we had to put the flea stuff on there coats and get them a flea collar.
Seems like the weather is too cool for the bugs but I guess not.

I would do here what you do in Colorado Spgs. to keep up with your horses because of the altitude. Seems horses are more affected than dogs.
