For my part, I always go and vote. But I do have certain standards in how I cast my vote. I do not vote for unopposed candidates unless I really like the person running. Sometimes I will skip voting for a contested office if I don't feel either candidate is qualified in my mind. This could include the office of president of the US.
Just my take on things. Everyone should vote as they think best.
This is not a dead heat...nor should it be considering the abominable state of our country at the moment...we either have an opportunity to initiate change or stay the current (McCain/Bush) corrupt course that is obliterating the middle class at a rate that is stunning. Nevertheless, this is a thread best moved elsewhere.
This is some bull****.. you can have a presidential election poll, but i couldnt on the ABQ page, wow nice "Towanda" why dont you shut this crap down too?!?! Since we cant talk politics?! or maybe a Fight will spark..
what a way to have any say. Regardless of who wins I hope you don't expect to do any complaining for 4 years. anyone who doesn't vote deserves what ever they get...Sorry, but there is no excuse for someone not voting....
Nita
so I should just vote just to do it, I know most people hate Bush but Im not complaining, it is what it is and their is nothing I can do about it. Obama and McCain both have their pros and cons so I cant choose.
whats the big deal with talking politics anyways, is it offensive to some people, I dont get it
