Volunteer Opportunities in Clovis, NM? (home, school, kindergarten)

I'm particularly looking for some volunteer work a family could do with younger kids. My son is in kindergarten but he's home schooled so we'd like to get out and do some volunteer work during the day and get him out in the community. We're not religious so we're not part of any of the churches here so I'm having a harder time finding stuff. We don't mind working with a church program of some sort but since we don't belong it's harder to find, kwim?
